I'm sad that one of my friends might not be able to fulfill her dream of having a child. She would be such a fantastic mom and deserves all the joy that motherhood brings.
I guess that we will all have unrequited dreams throughout our lives. As our lives change, sometimes the drive to attain those dreams dwindles or is used elsewhere for new dreams.
But I wonder, do those unrequited dreams always linger on in some part of us? Or do we find joy in the dreams that we have fulfilled, whether intentionally or unintentionally, and does that joy simply make us content to look back fondly and cherish the dreams that will never be, but that seemed so real?
